Don’t forget the words you have already learned

KYW is a dictionary that keeps you from forgetting what you have already learned.

Save words, share packs and go on improving your language – KYW brings them back at the right intervals.

One card

An honest check that you know the word

In KYW you see the definition and type the word yourself. That way you check whether you can recall it before the right answer is in front of you, instead of merely recognising a familiar word once the card is turned over.

A slip of the finger is not ignorance, though. KYW reads the answer letter by letter and tells a misspelling apart from a genuinely wrong word.

A repetition method of our own

Built on research and on practice.

Before you learn something new you have to be sure the old has not been forgotten, so in KYW the words in the feed come in a set order. First you review what you have started to forget, then you learn new words, and after that you can go on strengthening the weak spots. Within each stage the order is set by an algorithm that takes your results into account.

1 Review

The words whose time has come. Get one wrong and it comes back at the end of the run, not in a month.

2 New words

First the introduction: the words are shown together with their meaning, then you try to reproduce them. They enter the schedule only after you finish a clean round.

3 Weak spots

Working through the misses, and words taken early. This stage does not end by itself – you close the session.

Packs

Build your own packs of words. Share them with others. Take ready-made ones from the shared library.

Packs let you organise your dictionary the way that suits you. A finished pack can be shared by link – with friends, with students, with anyone it might serve. Packs from the shared library you can take, edit and learn from.

Sync with AI

A dictionary is kept not by those with more willpower, but by those to whom it costs nothing

Building a dictionary takes no manual routine. Take a list of words, a textbook page or a fragment of an article, hand it to a chatbot together with the ready-made KYW prompt, and get structured card data back: definitions, examples, transcription and whatever else you need.

And once the dictionary exists, AI stays useful – not for making cards one by one, but for working on the whole dictionary at once. Export it and give the model any task: unify the definitions, fix mistakes, group the words, fill in what is missing or change the structure. Then load the result back into KYW.
